On June 5th, 2025, Adapting Again was brought to life at the Grammy Museum, blending themes of vulnerability and resilience. Although we faced unexpected challenges—like the large frame not being transportable and live flowers not being allowed—these obstacles only deepened the installation's meaning.
At the heart of Adapting Again was the concept of kintsugi—the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with gold. This technique symbolizes finding beauty in imperfection and embracing the process of healing and renewal. Even though we couldn't have the live flowers, the spirit of the installation remained intact, highlighting resilience and adaptation.
This journey reminds us that even when plans shift, the core message and beauty of our work can still shine through. We invite you to explore this reflection and watch the full video recap to celebrate the power of adaptation and creativity.
I would like to thank, Drew & Mel McFarland for creating this opportunity and making it all possible.
